Candy Houses

This is one of our favorite traditions, making candy houses. Here are some pictures;
Dallin had such a hard time getting his house to stay standing, but with Dad's help it stood and was soon decorated with candy.

Elsa and Dad's house looks good enough to eat!
Calvin had a hard time too, but thanks to Dad his looks good too.
Here's Moms. Elsa took this picture, that's why you just see my hand and house.

It 's the most wonderful time of the year

Tonight we decorated our Christmas tree. First though, Clint took the kids to practice for the Christmas party tomorrow night. They're doing some sort of short skit. I'll tell more about it when I see it tomorrow night. Anyway, Clint is supposed to play a single father w/ four kids. Then, later we decorated the tree. The kids did pretty good putting the ornaments on and not clumping them together. Dallin and Calvin helped Elsa and Abby put their's in good places, although there were still some branches weighed down by 3 or 4 ornaments, so after the kids went to bed I went to work spreading them out. It's so fun to celebrate this holiday with my children. Clint and I both love to watch our kids grow closer to our Savior especially at this time of year. Sure it's fun to make gingerbread houses, bake cookies, and visit Santa at the mall, but they also understand the true meaning of Christmas and that is what makes this holiday season so fun.
Here are some pict's; Elsa was the lucky one this year and got to put the star on the tree. (With help of Daddy) Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
I just thought I would put this cute picture of Grandma holding her 8th grandchild. He's a cutie!

The pictures I promised

This day Calvin decided to do a bike wash and he washed all the tricycles we have. What a kid! Did I mention they were on track break.
Then, on Nov. 9, Calvin celebrated his 7th birthday and as you can see by the wrapping paper he had a Spiderman birthday.
Calvin loves his cousin, James. Of course Calvin loves any kid who wants to play.
We also celebrated Clint's 33rd birthday. I can't believe he's so old, maybe because I'm going to be the same age in about 2 weeks. We did his favorite pie, sweet potatoe, instead of cake.
Here's the famous photo of Micah frying the turkey. What a great tasting bird that was. Delicious!!

Finally....I'll post something

I realized after I got logged on to type this blog, that I had not yet put the Thanksgiving pictures on the computer. So, until I do, I hope you enjoy these from last year's thanksgiving when we went to Sparks and the kids played in the leaves with Uncle Jordan.
Sorry it has taken me so long to post. We had a few very eventful weeks. First, we had Thanksgiving. What a GREAT Thanksgiving it was. We went up to Utah to be with all the family, everyone was there, except Tavan's family and Jordan and Ruth who were missed but I'm sure they all had wonderful holiday's as well. Camille's family came too and that made it even more fun. I can honestly say that this Thanksgiving was the best I've had yet. I think that Dallin and Calvin feel the same way. (Thanks Jon for bringing your Wii system.) Instead of asking for a playstation 3 for Christmas, Dallin's now asking for a Wii. Although it was fun, I don't think Santa will follow through with that wish.
