Abby's a Sunbeam

I can't believe my baby is a sunbeam! She is growing up so fast! It seems like just yesterday she was crawling around on the floor, now she's running around the house like a whirlwind getting into everything, playing in her cute ways, and just being 3. She makes me laugh atleast once a day. Every time she watches Strawberry Shortcake she always wants me to dance with her during all the songs. I guess that what I get for putting all the other kids in school during the day. I love it though and would rather play with her than do housework any day. I also love her because you never know what she's going to do next. For example, just tonight, after putting her to bed, she like always, got up. So I put her back to bed. Then the second time she got up, she needed her nose wiped. She's the only one of our kids who hates having a runny nose (well at age 3). She got up again and came to me and pointed at her nose. I grabbed a tissue and wiped it and then gave it to her and told her she could keep it in case she needed it. She then stuffed it down her shirt and said, "Look Mom, I look like you." Well, then a little while later, she came out again and pointed at her nose. I asked her where her tissue was as I wiped her nose with a different tissue. I then gave her that one and she ran to her bed grabbed her other tissue and stuffed them both down her shirt and said again, "Look Mom, I look like you." Then put her hands on her hips and started struttin' her stuff. I couldn't help but laugh. What a nut! I just hope she gets it out now and doesn't feel that she needs to do it when she's older. Anyway, back to being a sunbeam. She didn't actually go in her class. She was shy, and since I teach the 5 and 6 year olds, I sit behind Abby's class, so she felt like she wanted to be shy. Hopefully, she will go into her class next week. She has a fun teacher, she actually has babysat for us since before Abby was born, so I thought Abby wouldn't be shy. Just goes to show that you never know how your child is going to be.

They grow so fast... Scout already started smoking, if you can believe it! Just kidding. Good job, Abby.

I feel the same way about my new sunbeam too. Sierra went to her class but since I teach the 6 year olds and was there she had a hard time at first. They just grow too fast (unless it's bedtime and they won't go to bed- then it seems forever!)
