Easter Weekend

These are in no particular order.
This first one is our impromptu photo session after church.  We went up to the temple and snapped some pic's since the kids looked so nice in their new outfits.  (Compliments of their Aunt Steph,)
After our "photo session" we came home to see what the Easter bunny gave them and do our own little egg hunt.

On Saturday, I took the kids to the annual egg hunt that the Grace Baptist Church puts on.  It was pretty fun with something for everyone.  Then, we came home and dyed eggs.
In Abby's egg hunt, I thought I was recording for most of it, so all I got was the last part.
In Calvin's, I wanted him to come over to where I was because there were a lot of eggs, but he thought I wanted him to come over to take pictures.
This was just a eScrapbook page that I made while playing in "Picnik"

Aren't they good looking kids?!

This movie is the kids hunting for eggs in our backyard.  These kids are on a mission :o)

This was the weekend before Easter, when Aunt Steph and Tracy came for Dallin's ordination and to give them their cute outfits.  You'll notice Elsa's is different because that first (cute) one was a little tight on her and we wanted her to wear it longer, so I exchanged it for a bigger one.  Unfortunately I didn't find another one like this one, but did find a cute one still.  Atleast we have a picture of this one, huh?!

She's at it again

A couple of weeks ago, I was taking the kids to school and usually Abby comes with us. (She has afternoon Kindergarten).  Well, she was with us this day.  We were driving to school when suddenly Abby breaks out in song, from the back seat, this part of "Amish Paradise" by Weird Al.  If you want to watch the actual video first then here it is.  If not just skip to 1:12 on the actual video, so you can see what it is supposed to sound like, then watch Abby's version.  We think it's pretty funny.

Who's 12?

Yes, it's Dallin!  I still have to pinch myself to realize that I'm not dreaming.  Dallin turned 12 on Monday, the 11th and on Sunday, the 17th, he received the Aaronic Priesthood.  It was such a great day.  Aunt Steph and Tracy came, all the way from Texas, for the occasion and we had a good time with them.  On Saturday, we went to Chuck E Cheese, sorry no pictures (I forgot my camera).  Then, on Sunday, after church we hung out at our home, ate dinner and then went to the Easter devotional that our Stake put on.  It was good.  We loved having Aunt Steph and Tracy and we are so proud of you, Dallin.

Determination pays off

Just in case you missed the last post on Abby and the monkey bars you can go here and read about how she has been practicing and practicing to get across them.  Well, she did it!  One day I was walking over to the playground, as I do everyday to meet the kids after school, to take them home.
As I did this day, however, I saw Abigail "conquering" the monkey bars.  I just happened to have my camera in my purse, so I snapped some pictures and got some video.  I didn't catch her on video going all the way across the day she was in her purple shirt, but as you can see in the photos she did it!   Then a couple days later I got her on film to finish this little movie.  Oh, and in the last post she was trying to go across the semi-circle bars and she finally did, but I didn't have a camera that day.   Anyway, here is the movie....

Springs Preserve

About.....oh......a month ago.  The kids had a three day weekend, so I decided that if they got all their chores done fast then we'd go to the Springs Preserve.  It's a fun place for kids (and adults) can go to learn how to conserve water and also the history of Vegas, and the springs that use to be here.  It's a pretty interesting and fun place.  We also saw a show about Birds of prey.  It was pretty cool as well.  Here are some pictures....
This was in the flash flood simulator.  The kids loved it!

Elsa in the little train in the play ground.
There's Calvin...dodging the camera....again.
This was in the playground.  Abby was quite the climber!

Some of these were them digging for fossils, the Birds of Prey show, trying to stop the rolling ball (impossible), playing on the playground, viewing the desert fox, and in the museum.
These were the kids building a city, digging the wet sand to see how mountains were formed, more birds of prey, Abby playing in the giant sand box, and the girls on one of the trails.
The kids were seeing how far they could jump.  They were all pretty good jumpers.
I even tried it to see how far I could jump....not too impressive, I know.
