Abby....We love you

As Clint and I were talking in our room today, with no kids to bug us.(It's rare) We were talking about how special our little Abigail is. She has such a cute personality. She is so happy all the time, and you never know what she is going to do next. The other day, last Sunday in fact, she decided she was going to make cherry kool-aid for her and Elsa's tea party that they set up on the couch. She came to me with red all over her face and a look on her face like that was the most discusting thing she had ever had. Suprisingly, she cleaned up rather easy and with the help of the red couch, the kool-aid cleaned up easy too. Red is a good color to have with kids I've decided. She keeps me on my toes all the time. She is always ready for an adventure, especially when it comes to riding 4 wheelers. She also loves her primary(nursery) class.
Ever since she was in my belly, she has been an angel. I was never sick except at night when it was time for me to relax and rest. It was a blessing because I not only took care of my own kids, but my friends kids too a couple days a week. Well, then when she was born, she was always so patient with me when I had to care for Elsa or someone. She must've known she was the fourth child. ( It must take a special child to be the last one born in the family.) She also started sleeping through the night at about 2 1/2 months. ANGEL! She was always a happy baby. Now she is still happy, funny, mischeivious, a good sister, and so much more. We love you, Abby.
I found Abby, one day, playing in the ramen noodles box. I think she was pretending it was a car. Anyway, I thought it was cute so I snap a pictures.

What type of movie would my life be?

What Type of Movie Would Your Life Be?

You life would be a Comedy. Most everything is all fun and games. It's difficult for you to be serious about almost anything, typically seeing the sillier side of things. While this is a great outlook on life, it also makes it difficult for people to take you seriously. However, people are attracted to that thing about you that makes them laugh so hard they pee in their pants (although they will never admit it).

I took another quiz. This one is a little more accurate. Although I think that I'm a little more serious at times than I should be. Just ask my kids.

Where should I live?

What City Should You Live In?

You should live in New York City. America's largest city will ensure that you will blend into the crowd. You are the brooding type--introspective, creative, and eccentric--and NYC's cutting-edge, individualistic culture and ambience will appeal to you.

Find Your Character @ BrainFall.com

I took the same quiz that Hannah and Camille did and I agree that it can't be accurate. I would hate to live in New York away from family. Plus I love the west.

I love this country!

I am so grateful for all those who fought for my freedom. This Memorial day we celebrated by doing things together. First, we went out early in the morning and rode 4 wheelers. The kids, all, did so much better this time. I was really surprised to see Abby enjoying herself on a 4 wheeler.Calvin wanted to take Abby for a ride, but I didn't think that was a good idea. Sorry Calvin maybe when you're a little older and more experienced. Here is James pretending to ride. He loved it! Just like his Mom and Dad
Dallin did great too. (As you can see in the pictures and movies). Then, later that day we had a BBQ with Clint's sister, Danielle, her husband, Anthony and James, who also came 4 wheeling. We had a good time. The best part of the day was the end, after Uncle Anthony and Aunt Danielle left. Clint gathered the kids together and talked to them about why we celebrate Memorial Day. It turned out to be a really good conversation, with the boys. (The girls weren't interested, yet.) It's always so nice to see Clint take his role as father seriously and teach our children something valuable. He also has been so great at showing the kids that he respects me and the kids. Saturday, before Memorial day, we were cleaning the house and Dallin was complaining that it wasn't fair and "why should I have to clean up?" I told Dallin, for the 50th time, to just do it. Clint happened to be in the room and said to Dallin.
"Do what your Mother says."
"Why?" says Dallin
"Because we all have to help out around here." says Clint
It may not seem very big to some people, but it was a big deal to me. What a great guy.
On May 29th we celebrated our 10th anniversary and I am happy to report that I love him more today then I did when we first were married. We still have a long ways to go until our marriage is perfect, so I guess I'm glad we have all eternity.

For the kids......

Since I started blogging when all of my kids were already born and past the point of "newborn", I thought I'd post each of the kids, one at a time, telling about them from birth to now. So I had a record of their lives and I could express my feelings of joy, sorrow, etc. for them to read later in their lives.
First I'll start with Abby, since all of her pictures are already on my computer. The boys pictures, I'll have to scan in, since I only had a film camera waaayy back then. So here goes;

Abigail Olivia Singer -- born September 27, 2005About a week after we brought you home from the hospital, you lost some weight. I took you to the doctor for a normal check-up and noticed that you were 6 lbs. 14 oz. I didn't say anything to the doctor about it because he didn't seem to be worried. When I came back to the doctor at your 2 week mark. I noticed that you were 6 lbs. 11. The doctor again said nothing, so I did this time. I'm glad I did because he didn't even notice your weight loss. He put you on formula for low birth weight babies and told me to feed it to you straight instead of breast milk. So I fed you you the formula then breast milk for dessert. On the doctors orders I brought you back three days later to find that you had gained lonly a couple ounces. He gave you a couple more days to get back to your birth weight. You did not make it, so he sent you to the hospital to get some tests to make sure everything was working correctly. After what seemed to be forever, which was really about an hour or two, you were fine and started to gain weight and eventually got to breast feed by itself. Yeah!
You were the only one of my babies that ever had a problem gaining weight or being small for that matter. It was so weird to be walking in the store and people would ask how old you were and I would tell and they would be surprised at how little you looked. It was weird for me because with each of your brothers and sister it was the opposite.
A blessing for Abigail OliviaYour blessing day was such a beautiful day. Look at all these wonderful people that came to witness your beautiful blessing that your Father gave to you. All ready for church

One day after church, you were having fun with Elsa, until she bit you on the belly. She got a time-out for that and was back playing, nicely. You two are such good little friends already.

You were about 2 months old.

Your first Thanksgiving -- 2005

You looked so cute on your first Thanksgiving, cute enough to eat!

Here you are wearing the shirt that Aunt Steph sent you from Hawaii.

This is your Mommy's favorite outfit on you. Actually your Mommy has a lot of favorite outfits for you.

For your first Christmas we went to Grandma and Papa's house in Sparks. You were such a good baby on the way there and while we were there. You didn't spend to much time in Mommy's arms because Elsa was sick and VERY clingy to her. Luckily you weren't picky about who held you. So Grandma and the Aunt's got to know you better. (and Johanna Holliday.) She came to celebrate Christmas with us too.

A fun weekend

This weekend was a pretty great weekend. Saturday morning we decided to go to breakfast for Mothers Day. We were going to use our gift card to "The cracked egg", but decided against it because it was on the other side of town and we wanted to save gas. You know, with the gas crunch and all. So we went to I.H.O.P. but there were people waiting outside the restaurant for seats and we decided that we wanted to get a table right away, so we went next door to Denny's. Well, we waited only a few minutes and got seated. The food was good, and the service was too. Our kids on the other hand, well....they've been better. Dallin brought his book of magic tricks so he could try a disappearing salt shaker trick. That part wasn't bad yet. Then, Elsa kept leaning on the table and it was already wobbling. After the 50th time of telling her not to lean on the table and sit on her bottom. I finally told her to sit on the other side of Clint and she protested, rather loudly, and as I got up to go over to her side of the table to try to move her quietly, Dallin and Calvin dropped the salt shaker on the table, making a very loud noise. Out of the corner of my eye I saw everyone at the table next to us turn around a just stare. I was so embarrassed! I wanted to say, "Nothing to see her folks, turn around and stop staring." Actually, the words I had in mind were not that nice, but you know me I can't say anything mean, to strangers anyway. Except the rude girl at Wendy's. Hannah knows what I'm talking about. Maybe I'll tell that story later. Anyway, the rest of our meal was quiet and nice. We had a good day for the rest of the day. The boys finished their room just in time for the baseball game and carnival. Good thing too, or else they would've stayed home. We had a good time and only stayed, or rather, lasted 'til the 8th inning. That's when the girls started whining and showing us they needed to go to beddy-bye.
Then, today for Mothers day, we woke up and ate cinnamon rolls, juice, and milk. Not much, yet when you have church at 9:00 in the morning it's all you have time for. Plus, I love cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The kids each gave me a present they made in school. Dallin made flower pens in a flower pot. Calvin made a frame decorated with buttons, and a picture of him in it, Elsa painted a flower pot also and then put pretty, pink flowers in it. Then, last, but certainly not least, Abigail made me a colorful noodle necklace in nursery today. I loved everyone of my gifts and will treasure them always. I still have my noodle necklace that Dallin made me when he was in the nursery. Priceless! Clint gave me a beautiful Lai (hawaiian flower necklace) Sorry, I'm not sure how to spell it. Anyway, it was made with purple and white orchids. I wore it to church and felt very loved today. The rest of the day I sat, literally sat, around the house and watched as Clint and the boys made dinner and did the dishes for me. I also watched as the girls and Calvin made the rest of the house a mess. Oh well, I have tomorrow to clean it up. Well, that was my Mother's day this year in 2008. Here are some pictures....
