Our new rug

I was at Target getting other things and I noticed that they had a lot of home decor stuff on 75% off. Well, being a girl who loves a bargain, I decided to see what they had. That's when I saw it. This rug. I thought it would look nice in our front room, and I have always wanted a rug for that room but never wanted to pay the high prices that rugs can be. Well, this one was originally $150 and I purchased it for $40.40. On the way out of the store I thought what if it doesn't look good. Then I thought,"I sell it on Ebay." Well, I got home and put it down on my living room floor and loved it. It makes the room look so much bigger and nicer. Yea, what a great find. I love it when I find a bargain. Usually it's Clint who finds the bargains.

I can't believe I made these!

Here are a couple of pictures of the collars for Laurel and Maisy's blessing dresses. They're attached to the dresses now and the dresses are done but I want them be a surprise for Hannah and Jeff. So here is the best part of the dresses. If you want to see all of them you're going to have to come to their blessings or view them on Hannah and Jeff's blog after their blessings.

3..2..1...Blast off!

Well, about 2 or 3 weeks ago, Calvin earned enough chore bucks to get a toy at the store. Clint took him to Target and Calvin picked out a rocket. He originally wanted cup stackers. They were learning to stack cups into pyramids real fast then take them down, in P.E. So, Calvin and Dallin loved to practice at home but our cups just weren't the same. So he wanted real cup stackers, but Target ran out of stock, so Calvin looked for something else and found the rocket. Well, he finally got to launch it yesterday. The weather was perfect. The rocket was pretty cool. Clint got it all set up and we all counted down from 5 and Calvin launched it. It went so high and fast. I video taped it but I lost it when it was up in the air. Anyway, here some pictures I took. They're gonna launch it again, so maybe I'll be able to follow it better next time.

Ouch!

The other night I had just put the girls down to bed and told the boys to get into bed and go to sleep. Well, I was out folding clothes and watching t.v. a few hours later when Calvin started screaming and crying. Dallin was apologizing profusely. Then, Calvin ran out to me and told me that Dallin elbowed him in the mouth and it was bleeding. So while I was administering to his lip, Dallin was telling his side of the story. I finally reminded them both that if they had done what I asked when I asked them to do it. It wouldn't have even happened. They both tried to argue that, but were stumped. So they went to bed without any trouble. Then, Calvin came out one more time to tell me that his front tooth was loose.

Our Valentine's day

Valentines Day was fun this year. The kids woke up and after breakfast, I brought out there lil' gifts from their Dad and Me. They were happy to get them, but then it was time to quickly get into the car and go to school. They brought home a bunch of valentine's from school. I remember bringing home tons of valentines when I was their age. Not as much candy though. I swear every valentine card had some sort of sucker or other kind of candy on it. In fact, Elsa brought home an electric toothbrush from one of her teachers I'm sure. (There was no label on it, and Elsa couldn't remember who gave her that one.) Anyway, in the end she didn't even want it because it had a whale on it, instead of Dora or something. So, she gave it to Calvin. If I got something like that when I was little, I would be so excited that I would be in the bathroom, as soon as I got home, brushing my teeth. Crazy Chick! Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

I've been tagged

How fun is this? Hannah just tagged me today and I'm just now getting around to answering the tag. So here goes; A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning. B: Each player answers the questions about themselves. C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
10 years ago: I was engaged to be married. I was working at Art Images, helping to design and put together signs, decals, and whatever else they wanted me to do. Clint and I were also getting things ready for our wedding and home after we were wed. It was so much fun to pick out furniture (one at a time as we got enough money, of course.) 10 years ago right now was our first valentine's day together. To tell you the truth I don't remember what we did. (Hmmm...must've been memorable, huh?) I'm sure I wrote it in my journal.

5 things on my to-do list today: 1. Clean my bathrooms. I hate that job most of all so I try to get it done first, to get it out of the way.
2. Get Elsa ready for school. She goes to the early childhood class in the afternoon and the bus comes to pick her up. She loves it!
3. Feed the girls lunch. (Before the bus comes)
4. Put Abby down for a nap. If she doesn't want to go down, I tell her she needs to teach her babies how to go to sleep, or tell her they want to be read to. Works every time:)
5. Work on Hannah's little girls blessing dresses. Yes! I'm still working on them. I almost finished though.

O.k.... next....Snacks I enjoy the most: Apple slices with turkey and cheese... yum, orange slices, Dove chocolates...my weakness...soooo gooood, chips and home-made salsa ( I don't make it, although I'd love to try it if I had a good recipe.) but, Pace salsa is horrible after eating authentic salsa. the "Double-double" with grilled onions, from IN N' OUT, I have not had that in such a long time, I'm starting to crave it now. Good thing it is 11:15 at night and they're closed.

What would I do if I became a billionaire? I would, of course, get out of debt. Then, I would sell our home in Las "Wages" and move the family up to Reno and build a house next to Grandma and Papa, so the kids could just walk over to their house when ever they want. Then, I would give Mom and Dad enough money to pay off their home, and then take them and all my brothers and sister and their families on a Disney cruise. (I heard they're tons o' fun!) Then, I would put some money away for the kids college/mission. I would go back to school and learn how to do photography, and design websites and then start my own business and never have to worry about money again.

5 places I've lived: Provo, Utah. Although I don't remember living there on account that I was born there then moved when I was about two. Portland, Oregon. Federal Way, Washington, Mesa, Az. Sparks, Nv., Rexburrrg, Id., (Lawrence, Kansas, Clinton, Missouri and Cameron, Missouri. My Mission areas)

5 things people don't know about me: Hmmm.... let me think a while....I am the assistant cub master in my ward and I love it, because Dallin, my oldest, is in Cub Scouts and it's nice to know all about the scouting program. That's one, four more... I love to sew. You probably gathered that from my to-do list. I've never owned a barbie doll, don't get me wrong though, I 've played with them I just never had one to call my own. My Mom said I had to wait until I was 12 to have one. So I never own one. I haven't had 1, I repeat, none, notta, zip, zero traffic tickets since I was 18 years old. I know, hard to believe isn't it. O.k. 1 more.... I stay up way too late. Every morning I think "oh, I've got to go to bed earlier." Then, night comes and kids go to bed, and I start getting things done that I couldn't do when they were awake. Before I know it it's mid-night.

Well, that's it! I'm finally done.
I tag Jordan, Ruth, and Cedric

Our Sunday Afternoon

The kids were out back on the porch playing with the geotrax. They were having such a good time playing together and actually putting the tracks together,(as opposed to what they usually do, take it apart as soon as Clint or I put it together.) Anyway, it was so cute to watch them play and have fun so I got the camera out. Then, they moved on to the see-saw and swing set. We love our Sunday afternoons.

Elsa's 5

Well, it happened, yesterday at 10:39 in the evening to be exact, Elsa turned 5. I can't believe she is five. It was crazy to think that Dallin was five when he turned 5. I couldn't believe I had a 5 year old. When Calvin turned 5 that was o.k. for some reason. Maybe because he was the 2nd boy to be 5 and he could NOT wait to go to kindergarten and he still had to wait another year to go because his birthday is in November. Now, it's Elsa's turn to be 5 and go to kindergarten. To me she still seems to be too little for Kindergarten. Although she is ready academically. When you ask if she wants to go to kindergarten she says no she would rather stay in Mrs. Brough's class. (Her early childhood class) I told she could keep going to that class until the end of the year. It's going to be hard to send her to kindergarten everyday for the first few days. I'll know exactly how she feels. A little scared of all the NEW kids, teacher, room, everything. I remember that feeling, but Elsa is a sweet girl and will do fine. I know she still has a few months until she goes and a lot of maturing happens between now and then. I'm sure by then she will be excited about it and will run to the playground on the first day of school. My kids have always surprised me that way. Anyway, she is taking being 5 pretty well. She totally scored on the gifts this year from her friends and loving family. I decided that January and February birthdays are the best, because all the stores are clearing out all their toys from Christmas, so they're way cheap and you can get more for your money. For example, Elsa's little friend, Zach gave her a Dora play tent that stands about 5 feet tall. We all thought, Wow, thanks! Then later, Clint informed me that it was on clearance at Target. I thought "oh, now I don't so bad that they felt they had to spend so much for a gift, because they didn't." Clearance sales are awesome! Aren't they? Anyway, Elsa had a great day and her party went well, a little chilly but not too bad.

Babies r us were having a grand opening and Dora and Arthur were there. So we thought it would fun to take Elsa and Abby for Elsa's birthday. Elsa thought it was a good idea too, until she actually saw her. Her and Abby were so scared they stayed in the cart and did not go up to them at all, so I got a picture of them without the girls. When we left the characters and were looking around the store, Abby excitedly said, "Dora, Dora" We said,"Yea, do you want to see her?" She very quickly got real serious and said,"No!" Then later in the day we were on our way home and Abby fell asleep in the car. She must've been dreaming about Dora because she woke calling her name. "Dora, Dora".
